Professor Davis is a policy and research economist, with particular interests in Finance and the interface between Finance and Macroeconomics. After spending 20 years at the Bank of England, with spells on secondment to the BIS and ECB, Philip was a Visiting Fellow at NIESR from 2000 to 2009, during which he was also Professor of Economics and Finance at Brunel University. Since 2009 he has been a Principal Research Fellow at NIESR.
