Sandra Barrueco is a Full Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Research at The Catholic University of America. She directs the PhD program in Clinical Psychology and Institute for Latin American and Iberian Studies (ILAIS). Dr Barrueco’s expertise centers on immigrant and migrant children and families, with particular focus on screening, assessment, prevention, and early intervention. Dr Barrueco’s studies across the United States have been used to improve national policies and standards, and her laboratory has been successfully awarded external funding from federal agencies, foundations, and other entities. Dr Barrueco frequently serves as a national speaker and her appointments include the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Forum for Children’s Well-being.
