"As the vision of Home Renaissance Foundation elucidates, the home plays a vital role in shaping the lives and in meeting the fundamental needs of the individual, the family and society as a whole.

For the majority the home is where one seeks to find security; where one can be trusted and be certain of finding a set of values that remain constant despite the instability or confusion that can be brought about by everyday life.

Since gaining a BSc in Economics in LSE and furthering my education in the IMEDE Business School Lausanne, the majority of my business life has been in the management of advances made in areas ranging from technology to corporate law, from financial regulation to societal and cultural behaviours. It is from this experience that I have realized that this crucial role of the home is so often eroded or is at least neglected and, sadly so along with all the values carried within it and those that emanate from it. It has become evident that in this generation the expectation to accommodate so much change within society can be stressful for family life and children.

It is for this reason that I feel privileged to stand as chairman of Home Renaissance Foundation which sets out to create knowledge and understanding of the importance of the work required to form such a place we speak of, where home life can be once again valued and re-established in its fitting position as a top priority for all of our societies and their governments.

The unprecedented conviction of Home Renaissance Foundation is that the work of the home, carried out with the necessary skills and professional stance as is the case in all fields of work, has to be acknowledged for the critical role it plays in the development of individuals and society as a whole. This concept when upheld and applied practically will provide the answer to the so many difficulties that have arisen within society as a result of the neglect of such work.

With dedication in the area of promoting a greater knowledge and understanding of, and appreciation for the work of the home underpinned by interdisciplinary research, we aim to instil this vision into society by placing it at the summit of the political agenda, ultimately so as to make it more humane."
